Sarah Griffel-Thompson is a large and small animal veterinarian practicing in south eastern Idaho for 9 years. She is a member of the Idaho Veterinary Management Team which trains veterinarians to respond to threats of bioterrorism involving livestock. She and her husband also run a small family farm, growing potatoes, hay, grains and peas. She has been a canine handler for almost 3 years.  Sarah is currently undergoing training for the reserve deputy program in her county.
Sarah's primary areas of interest outside of work are hunting, fishing, hiking and working her dog, Jenny.  She joined High Country Search dogs in 2007 and was a member of Wyoming K9 Search and Rescue. Her current canine is Jenny, a three year old Bloodhound operational in trailing and cadaver search.
