Larry Heigh is a Montana native with over 36 years of law enforcement experience, over 12 years of those on law enforcement tactical teams. He is still serving today. Larry has many years experience in leadership and working with multi-functional teams. Including Fire Dept. and disaster recovery teams.

He is a certified search dog handler and has worked with his dog Sage for over 3 Yrs. She is a German shepherd and is certified in, cadaver and wilderness. She is currently training in HRD and trailing.

Larry is also an experienced outdoorsman. He is trained in Orienteering, GPS, ATV,  motorcycle, snowmobile, boat operations, rope rescue, rappelling, managing the search incident, ICS, firefighting, CPR, wilderness first aid and was previously a surgical technician. He has numerous years experience in man-tracking.

In addition to High Country Search dogs, Larry is Vice President of Elkhorn Search and Rescue, Jefferson County Montana.
