Our mission, at High Country K-9, is to ensure our community of the highest level of dedication and commitment to those we serve.

We are dedicated to professional excellence by exemplifying honesty, integrity, professional competence, compassion and positive leadership.  We will engage our community and surrounding communities to provide education for the young and the general public, to whom we are ultimately accountable.

We will engage the community through educational programs, such as Hug-a-Tree programs, Outdoor Survival, Avalanche Safety, working with the youth through school programs and outdoor trainings.

We have initiated programs that seek to strengthen relationships with our community.  Our community goal is to educate the young, as this reduces the number of search incidents in the future.  We recognize that the best way to accomplish this is to work closely with our citizens.  We encourage the youth to train with High Country K-9.  While training with our handlers and our dogs, these people will learn more about how to safely enjoy the outdoors.
